Hi, I'm Sean.
I love coding, writing, and automating things, but my real passion is making things easier for people.
At some point, I stopped seeing myself as a person who builds this app, or does that thing for people and started really thinking about how people work and how to multiply their capabilities.
Sometimes, that's building an app for a customer base that needs it to be more productive. But if there's a team of engineers building that app, I'm going to focus on making them more productive so they can make the customers more productive.
Current Toolset
I have been for years now a huge fan of Visual Studio Code.
But recently I've switched to a combination of:
- ghostty: No reason other than it's fast and comes with nerdfonts.
- herdr: Great remote development experience, 100% scriptable, automatic grouping of agents, built-in git worktree support, great UI.
- neovim: Because it works well for remote development with herdr. It's a solid IDE. LazyVim gives you most everything out of the box.
- lazygit: Another one that works well with herdr for remote development. It's a great git client in its own right, though. Quick rewording, amending, discarding, etc.
